Training in Meråker resulted in Olympic gold medal

Petter Northug won the gold medal in the 50 km race in the Olympic Games in Vancouver. Petter is living and training in Meråker and used the wilderness and the mountains in his preparations for the Olympics.

Meråker has 26 peaks higher than 1000 meters. Northug has this summer and autumn visited all this peaks in his training sessions. Read more about in Dagbladet.
